Heritage and Conservation

There are a number of Conservation Areas in Streatham.  These have been created to preserve for future generations the natural and built environment of Streatham.

In addition, Streatham has a number of listed buildings of architectural and historical interest. 

The Society is currently compiling  its own list of buildings of architectural and historical interest and hopes to publish this list during 2009.

The Society has deveoped  a Local Heritage Policy that clearly sets out its aims in this area.
