Olympic silver medalist and international netball player

On This Day 16 August 1928 Sheila Lerwill was born. She lived in Streatham Vale
​

Sheila Lerwill (born 16 August 1928) is a British athlete who competed mainly in the high jump and also an International netball player for England.

She competed for GB in the high jump at the 1952 summer Olympics in Helsinki where she won a silver medal
