Otto von der Meden of Coventry Hall

On This Day 11 January 1820 Otto von der Meden was born
​
Otto von der Meden (1828) once occupied Coventry Hall, Streatham with his wife Martha, three sons, two daughters and sister in law and 7 servants with another 10 gardeners and coach staff
He was a naturalised British subject born in Hamburg and he joined J Henry Schroder and Co as a clerk in 1847 and had been associate clerk since 1847. On his promotion to full partner, Werner Kelbe was appointed associated partner and Adolphus Schmidt joined from Kleinworts- all were German born.

did that house face streatham common (as scene in photo ) or was it in polworth road ,because it faced common it was known as belhiem house and wheres the coventry hall /convent located as ive been looking for the origins of that place

Coventry Hall (picture above) was by Polworth Road and the house that faced the War memorial and Streatham Common North was Blenheim
