VE Day 8 May 1945 and Streatham's influence on wartime songs and dance
Dame Vera Lynn's song "We'll Meet Again" was Co-written by Ross Parker who lived at 76 the High, Streatham. He also co-wrote "There'll Always Be an England https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsM_VmN6ytk


The Lambeth Walk- a song from "Me and My Girl "was developed into a dance by Miss England at the Locarno, Streatham and performed by Lupino Lane. The Lane family were heavily connected with the Streatham Area
