On This Day 8 July 1967 Holywood Actress Vivien Leigh died. (1913-1967)

Vivien Leigh's first husband was Herbert Leigh Holman who lived in Streatham

Vivien met Herbert Leigh Holman, known as Leigh Holman, a barrister 13 years her senior, in 1931. Despite his disapproval of "theatrical people", they married on 20 December 1932 and she terminated her studies at RADA; her attendance and interest in acting having already waned after meeting Holman.

The Holman family were shipbuilders and marine insurers from Topsham in Devon and the family lived at numerous locations in Streatham
