His grandfather was James Jameson who was the son of John Jameson and Margaret Haig of Scotland who founded the famous distillery in Dublin. James was a director of the Bank of Ireland.
Sydney Bellingham Jameson born 1 Mar 1857 at Airfield attended Eton College and Cambridge. He served with the Seaforth Highlanders and attained the rank of Brigadier General. He married Ethel Theodora Greenway in Warwickshire on 8 Aug 1887. They travelled quite extensively and had seven children, two of whom were born in Ireland. Sydney died 10 Oct 1932 at home at 2 Redcliffe Gardens, Kensington. ©June Bow & Karen Poff – December 2019
