The solicitor Cecil Holman died On This Day 11 November 1958 leaving an estate of £8,710. A member of the Holman family of Shipbuilders and Marine insurers from Topsham who also lived in Streatham and the surrounding areas.
His first marriage was to Dorothy Grace Edsall at St Peter's Church Streatham. She was the daughter of a surgeon Samuel Edsell living at "Redroofs" Streatham Common and he was at the time living in Gibson's Hill the son of Richard and Eleanor Holman. They divorced following Cecil's relationship with Nurse Carr at a Nursing home in 1917
