On This Day 8th March 1875 the Danish-born photographer Charles Christian Borup was born.
He had a photographic shop and ran the Borup Bioscope Company at 156 Streatham High Road. Sir Walter Essex of "Dixcot" in Streatham Park was a director of the Bioscope Company which took-over the cinematographic film business of Borup.
