Clifford Bax was born On This Day 13th July 1886 The Bax family lived in Pendennis Road and "Kelso" (also once the home of the cricketer Andy Sandham). His father a barrister at the Middle Temple.
A writer and brother of the famous composer Arnold Bax. A keen chess player and friend of fellow Streatham resident Aleister Crowley. A cricket enthusiast and friend of C B Fry he wrote a biograpghy of WG Grace.
