On This Day 2 June 1962 Denis Robert Thiel died. A Fleet Street photographer who owned South Thames Studios which operated at 2 locations in Streatham and Norbury and a resident of 35 Pollards Hill South.
Many of Denis' pictures were credited to the Press Association and one famous picture he took was of this one of the 88 bus in the crater at Balham
