A very sad day- the closure of E and A Wates On This Day 14 May 2021 after 120 years of Trading in Mitcham Lane, Streatham. The business also had 2 outlets in Tooting which ceased operating some years ago
What happened to those iconic letters- I understand some were sold at auction in Rye and found their way back to South London, in Crystal Palace at Bambino Vintage shop where they were renovated and sold by a Streatham Society follower.
