He lived at 3 Telford Avenue, Streatham Hill and attended Alleyns School, Dulwich
After the outbreak of war, he decided to enlist in the British Expeditionary Force and joined the London Regiment (Post Office Rifles) after being found fit for service.
Frederick was serving as part of the Regiment’s Machine Gun Section when he was killed in action.
He is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial.
