The Pavillion is situated on the 3-acre paddock at Woodfield on the edge of Tooing Bec Common.
Presiding at the ceremony were Sir Kenyon Vaughan, Chair of the Greater London Playing Fields Association, the Bishop of Kingston, the Rt. Reverend Percy Herbert and councillors from the Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth and their wives and other local representatives. The Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Edwin Brookes, pronounced the building and the recreation ground open. (Andrew Sharp- Chair of Trustees, The Woodfield Project)
