Good evening, I recently discovered through DNA matching, that my paternal grandfather was Jock McKay. Jock's birth name was Maxwell John Kuttner. He was born in Blythswood, Glasgow Oct 1, 1979, and died in Streatham April 13, 1961. Jock's parents were German/Polish Jews who emigrated to the UK and settled in Glasgow. One of Jock's sons, Percy McKay was my father. Percy (deceased) was also my recently discovered half-sister Mandy's father too. Mandy and I met up via ancestry.ca. We are both trying to gather as many facts as possible about our grandfather such as, for instance, where he's buried. Mandy was born in Streatham (The McKay family lived on Prentiss Road at one point). I was born in Brixton (Endymion Road). Mandy emigrated as a child with her father and mother to Australia where she still lives. I live on Canada's west coast, but still have many old friends in Streatham. I would be very grateful for ANY information about Jock that you're able to share with me. Sincerely, Graham Walmsley.
