Youngest son of George Yeatherd (-1902) of Streatham Common. Second-in-command, 2nd battalion, Royal Lancaster Regiment (The Kings Own). Mortally wounded whilst leading the regiment, battle of Groblers Kloof, during the final advance on Ladysmith, 22 February 1900. Died Station Hospital, Pieter-Maritzburg, 26 February and buried there
