She was a comedic actor and lived at 76 Amesbury Avenue
May was reported as first seen on the stage in the chorus of 'The New Aladdin', at the Gaiety Theatre, on 29th September 1906. She was 14 years of age at the time. She then transferred to the Aldwych Theatre under the management of Seymour Hicks, before taking the part of Ko-Giku, a Geisha girl and then in the 'Mousme, a musical play with music by Lionel Monckton and Howard Talbot, which was produced by Robert Courtnedge, at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London on 9th September 1911.
She married Lord Edward Fitzgerald, son of the Duke of Leinster . His family did not approve of the romance and he was sent to Canada for a year but they married when both reached the age of 21 at Wandsworth registry office.
She later became the Duchess of Leinster
