On This Day 22 July 1912 Streatham Police station opened

In around 1968 a gentleman who worked for a motor hire company in Kingsbury is reputed to have negotiated with the police in Streatham for a van/truck that sat abandoned on a Streatham Street. He was allowed to register it and it became the famous Butchers van BUC852 from the Dads Army series. I’m researching its history and it’s possible the van was part of the old South Suburban Gas Co Fleet. The old log book details were destroyed and so I’m appealing to see if anyone knows anything. I don’t know where the police archives are, but would like to locate them as I suspect it was documented.
