Alfred James Pearce (1840–1923), physician and astrologer, the son of Charles Thomas Pearce (Royal College of Surgeons)(1815–1883), and his wife, Elizabeth, née Eagles, was born at 9.20 a.m. on 10 November 1840, in his parents' home at 13 King William Street, London; there were two other children.
Pearce edited Zadkiel's Almanac for forty-seven years, five more than its founder.
Pearce died at his home 10 Mount Ephraim Lane, Streatham, on 25 April 1923, and was buried in Wandsworth cemetery.
He is also recorded as a resident of 84 Kingscourt Road
