After the war, in 1919 he married Doris Koblett and the General Photographic Agency was set-up at 173 Fleet Street.
In the 1930 census Charles Richard and Mary Elizabeth Kobelt are on the Electoral Register for 24 Woodbourne Ave.
Davis and his family lived in at 24 Woodbourne Avenue and they were fortunate to have moved out the day before the house was bombed in WW2. Davis had his studio at 10 Becmead Avenue
Jill Andrews, the daughter of William and Doris lived at 43 Woodbourne Ave and her son, Richard and wife Hanna live in the house today. Richard mentions the family once lived in Woodbourne Close as well
