Solicitor to Queen Victoria. Son of Edward White (1795-1864), solicitor. Served in RN. Member of firm of Arnold and Henry White, solicitors, 1857 to death. Solicitor to the Queen, 1864 to death. Chapter clerk of St Katherine's Hospital to death. Chairman of Law Fire Insurance Society, 1883 to death. Knighted, Osborne, 1887. Died Leigham Mead, Leigham Crt Road, Streatham

Thanks for this information. It turns out i am related via Sir Henry's sister Caroline. The rest of the family emigrated to New Zealand and Arnold put Henry (7) though Harrow and appenticeship to the firm.

no, his nephew and Caroline, his sister constantly reminded everyone that her brother was solicitor to 3 monarchs.
I am keen to find Edwards parents and which line of Whites he was descended- I am suspecting the Whites of Hutton and Nottely Halls but really have no idea
Also wodering if these Whites attached to the Duchy of Lancaster or are personal solicitors

no, Henry was his nephew
He stayed behind when his parents emigrated to New Zealand
Do you know who Sir Edwards parents were?
