Sir Abraham Pitches

Sir Abraham Pitches died On This Day 10 April 1792.

Advert by Christie's for the sale of his house, following his death. (see map for location of The Manor House by Streatham Green). 

Pitches was brandy merchant (Pitches and Wilson) of 64 Lower Thames Street he lived at the Manor House. He was Master of the Coopers' Company

His daughter Amelia married Sir Edward Banks (1770–1835), builder and contractor, responsible for building bridges, dockyards, lighthouses and prisons. His daughter Margaret (Peggy) married George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry who lived by Streatham Common. His eldest daughter Jane married Liuetenant Colonel William Boyce. His son Henry married Lady Amelia Sophia Churchill (daughter of the Duke of Marlborough and grand daughter of the Duke of Bedford)
