On This Day 1 January 1950 Music Hall entertainer Kate Carney died . She is recorded in Brixton Hill, also at Boylands Oak (Site of Christchurch House) and Aldrington Road in the Furzedown area of Streatham.
Kate's grand daughter is Streatham Society Chair and Streatham resident Shea Richardson.
