2nd Lieutenant, South Staffordshire Regiment
Thomas Percy Peed lived at 80 Mitcham Lane, Streatham and joined the war effort after being granted a commission. Following the completion of his officer training, he was attached to the South Staffordshire Regiment as a 2nd Lieutenant. During his time with the regiment, he saw action on the Western Front and was serving in France during the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
Unfortunately, Thomas was killed in action on July 10th 1916. He is buried at Heilly Cemetery, Mericourt.
