I believe this photo is of the horse trough that used to be on Streatham High Road at the foot of Streatham Common. Behind the horse trough are the "facilities" that housed the Common's football changing rooms and storage for ground maintenance etc. The paddling pool was close by. The bottom road sign is pointing down Greyhound Lane towards South London Crematorium off Rowan Road at the far end of Streatham Vale (and a bit further).
