Kathlyn Hadley was a well-know dance instructress who lived in Streatham. She devised a new dance called "Le Barcelona" , a ballroom dance of 4 steps danced to the rhythm of the tango and performed at Prentis Hall in 1938. It was first performed by Iris Buckland and Iris Rogers in aid of the Agnes Parr Babies' Home.
